Driving and onward travel
- Scooters: No rentals for visitors; e-scooters are limited to some districts like The Pearl and Lusail. Heat makes riding unpleasant.
- Driving: on the right. Most visitors need a 1968 IDP plus their home licence; serious traffic offences can delay your departure.
- Onward travel in Qatar: Almost everything is within an hour of Doha. Doha Metro, Karwa buses and ride-hailing cover the city; rent a 4x4 or book a tour for the desert and Inland Sea.
