Huangshan Tunxi International (TXN)
About 3 km from Tunxi center. Taxi roughly 15–20 CNY; airport bus to Tunxi. Tangkou is about 60 km, 1–1.5 h by taxi or bus.
Via Huangshan North station (HSN)
High-speed trains from Hangzhou (about 1 h 15 min), Shanghai and Nanjing; bus or taxi to Tangkou about 50 CNY.
Driving and onward travel
- Driving: on the right. IDPs aren't recognised. Visitors need a temporary Chinese driving permit (up to 90 days) or a Chinese licence.
- Onward travel in China: High-speed trains link nearly every big city, often faster than flying; book with a passport on 12306 or Trip.com. Cheap domestic flights and sleeper trains cover long distances.
