Arriving in Mexico City
Benito Juárez International (MEX)
Metro Line 4 from Terminal 1 to Candelaria, about 5 MXN; Uber or official airport taxi 250–450 MXN to Roma, 25–60 min.
Felipe Ángeles International (NLU)
Used by a few airlines; bus to Buenavista or Indios Verdes about 90–100 MXN, 60–90 min, or the Mexibús; taxi is far more.
Driving and onward travel
- Scooters: Not worth it; heavy traffic. Some shared e-scooters exist, but use Ecobici or Metrobús instead.
- Driving: on the right. Foreign licences are valid. Mexican liability insurance is required; a foreign-plated car beyond the border zone needs an import permit.
- Onward travel in Mexico: First-class buses (ADO, ETN, Primera Plus) are comfortable and the usual way between cities. Budget airlines cover long hops cheaply; the Tren Maya links Yucatán Peninsula towns.
