Entry requirements
- Not part of the EU or Schengen: a Schengen visa isn't valid unless it states 'valid for the Faroe Islands'.
- If you don't need a visa for Denmark, you usually don't need one here; EU citizens can use a national ID card.
- Flights from Copenhagen leave Schengen, so expect passport control and an EES exit record.
- Since February 2026, paid accommodation adds a sustainability fee of DKK 20 per night, capped at DKK 200.
